As a third year Honours student, Alexandria Hammond is more than happy to be serving as this year’s Vice-President Academic. She is busy working alongside a team of editors on the Political Science Undergraduate Review, a peer-review journal that provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to publish scholarly work. Alexandria subscribes to the New Yorker, enjoys long walks in the river valley, and has no allergies. If you want to become involved in the peer-review process, please let her know!
In her second year as Vice-President Events (Community) Micah Leonida, a third year Combined Honours student, is humbled to be back as a returning exec. She’s been working away and organizing fun, and politically relevant events this year. Feel free to let her know what kind of events you’d like to see the PSUA host in the future. Micah likes French literature, picnics, and a good glass of wine.
Sadia Masud is a fourth year Political Science student at the University of Alberta, and she is very excited to serve as your VP Events! Her goal is to organize inclusive events that are going to be accessible and fun for everyone. When she’s not planning events or studying you can find her working at the Edmonton Humane Society because she believes it's important to advocate for all lives including furry (and non-furry) ones! She can't wait to see you at one of our upcoming events!
Victoria is a fourth year Political Science and Arts & Cultural Management student. The VP Finance portfolio manages the PSUA’s finances and has jurisdiction over the organization’s constitution. Outside of school, she works as a Research Analyst for the Students’ Union and sits on the U of A Senate. Victoria’s interests include attending live theatre, drinking cheap red wine, and spending time with her lazy, lovably stupid cat (@the.right.honourable.donut on Instagram).
Ranya El-Sharkawi is a fourth-year honours student and is humbled to be serving as your VP External. She is focussing on bringing new opportunities to the attention of poli sci undergraduates and strengthening communication between the department and student body. In her spare time, you can find Ranya making omelettes, dragging herself to the gym, reading political philosophy, or kicking back with her grandparents
