Now in her third year on the PSUA team, twice as VP Events (Community ‘16 and ‘17), Micah (pronounced Mee-ka) is humbled to be back this year as PSUA President. Micah is a fourth year Combined Honors student in French Language and Literature, and Political Science. During school days you will most likely find her in line for coffee at Cookies By George. On the weekends, she opts for the nicest glass of wine that student dime can buy. Currently looking for recommendations!
Excited to be a part of this year’s PSUA as VP External, Sapideh (pronounced Suh-pee-duh) is a fourth year Honors Political Science student. She loves to talk women empowerment, intersectional feminism, and human rights. You’ll often find her scrolling through memes, photos of dogs, and obsessing over astrology.
Nina is in her fourth year of a double major in political science and sociology. This is her second year as VP internal and she is overjoyed to be working with the PSUA again. Nina can usually be found running late to class because she stopped to buy a coffee.
Robert is third-year double major in Political Science and Economics. He is also a first-year scholar in the Peter Lougheed Leadership College. This is his first year on the PSUA executive team, serving as the VP Finance. Overall, he loves student governance and being involved on campus. When off campus, his two favourite pastimes are Canoeing and reading Dan Brown novels.
As a fourth year Honors student, Alex has been involved with the Political Science Undergraduate Association for the past three years. First as a submissions editor for the Political Science Undergraduate Review, Alex is now acting Vice-President Academic and is currently working as an Undergraduate Ombuds Intern at the University of Alberta. Off-campus, Alex’s interests include listening to podcasts, running (only sometimes!), and learning the Spanish language.
Precious is in her third year of Political Science with a Minor in Philosophy. This is her first year on the PSUA executive team as VP Communications, and she is excited to be taking on this role. Precious has a passion for stylish clothing, and spends most of her time hunting for vintage gems at the thrift store. Her daily mantra is “life isn’t perfect, but your outfit can be!”
This is Mariam’s first year on the PSUA as VP Events (Fundraising). She’s super excited to bring about fun and political events this year! Mariam is a third year double majoring in political science and psychology. Fun fact: she would rather take the warm cut rather than the shortcut because she’s from Egypt.
Ansh is a second year Political Science, History, and French student who is proud to be your PSUA VP Events (Community). He has a passion for politics, humanitarianism and is a strong advocate of diversity and inclusiveness. When not busy with exams, assignments, and club or council initiatives, he can be found performing (singing his heart out) or playing and cuddling with dogs.
Thank you Mursal Fazli (@sahra.rose.photographyy) for the amazing photos!
